'Madame Web' Gets a Release Date, But Fans Already at Odds With The Movie
As Sony tries to expand its own cinematic universe and develop characters like Morbius, Vulture and Venom, its attempts have been hit and miss so far.
Sony's 'Madame Web ' has secured itself a place in release schedule and is now slated to hit the theaters on July 7, 2023.
The movie, revolving around one of the Spider-Man universe characters, Madame Web, will feature Dakota Johnson in the title role and 'Euphoria ' star Sydney Sweeney in the yet unspecified role.
However, fans are not really feeling too hyped. And it seems that misfortunes of 'Morbius ' are partly to blame.
Another reason for fans not being too welcoming is the fact that 'Madame Web' got its release date while at the very same time 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' got delayed.
While it's unclear whether 'Spider-Verse' delay is in any way connected to 'Madame Web' release date, fans are still angry just because.
Madame Web is one of the side characters in the Spider-Man universe, usually depicted as a blind medium connected to the spider web-like life-supporting system.
