Remember Tam? Yeah, we don’t either.

Summary:

  • Young Sheldon is a CBS sitcom, a prequel to another hit, The Big Bang Theory.
  • The show is focused on the childhood life of Sheldon Cooper and the relationships within the Cooper family.
  • It was announced earlier that season 7 which premieres on February 15, 2024, would be the final one of the show.

The abrupt endings are always bad for the shows. Not only is the audience not ready to let go of their favorite characters, but they are almost always rushed and not very well thought out. As much as Young Sheldon fans hope this won't be the case for their favorite show, it already feels like it is.

Many viewers already had their suspicions that season 7 would be the last to air. However, no one could have predicted the WGA and SAG AFTRA strikes and the effect they would have on the ongoing scheduled shows. Now, Young Sheldon's final season will be cut in half, giving the writers even less time to give the audience any kind of closure.

If this is how much viewers care about the main characters, the entire Cooper family, imagine how many backstories would just die. Fans of Bobby and Paige are already bracing themselves for not seeing their favorites for more than a few episodes.

Will Tam Be Back In Young Sheldon?

In fact, many fans of Young Sheldon believe that Paige in particular may be the character following in the footsteps of Sheldon's supposed best friend Tam. Despite the fact that in The Big Bang Theory days, they were best friends until college, in Young Sheldon's reality, he had just gradually dropped off the radar.

If this is the fate the writers chose for the titular character's best friend, what would stop them from doing the same with Paige?

While her character is very important to some viewers, she is also very controversial and seen as a bad influence on Missy. Some viewers are hoping for at least some sort of closure and resolution to her story, whether it be a scene or at least a mention of her situation.

Others feel that under the circumstances that Young Sheldon has been forced into by CBS, it is unlikely that the writers or director will waste precious screen time on a character who doesn't really matter. Besides, there are just too many events that the writers have to squeeze into season 7.

From Georgie and Mandy 's wedding to the presumed death of George Sr., many fans have their own lists of events they would rather see the family go through than focus on someone else.

If only there were at least a full season, they would be happy to see more, but in a situation like this, each episode better be packed with something truly impactful and important.

Young Sheldon will return to our screens on February 15, 2024. Mark your calendars and tune in to CBS so you don't miss the final season premiere.
