The Big Bang Theory’s vibe will be back, but fans don’t feel the same way after Young Sheldon.

The Big Bang Theory franchise is seemingly coming back to its roots with its upcoming spinoff titled Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, yet not everyone is so excited about it now that Young Sheldon proved that a higher level was quite possible.

Ever since the original show’s prequel was announced, it was made clear that new times required new methods — and Young Sheldon did consider it by completely disposing of its predecessor’s multi-camera view and live audience, eventually getting numerous accolades from those who have been tired of that kind of sitcoms for a long time by then.

This may come as yet another reason for many fans’ concern regarding Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage which is now confirmed to be following The Big Bang Theory’s suit.

As many reports claimed upon the spinoff’s announcement back in March, the series is in fact being filmed in a studio with a live audience and numerous cameras capturing everything around.

The news didn’t cause any burst of enthusiasm among Young Sheldon fans, with many of them admitting they didn’t expect this to happen at all and at that moment couldn’t be so sure whether they actually wanted to see the future series.

On Reddit, a user nicknamed BlackWolfOne started a thread commenting on the issue and stating that “it’s something I never enjoyed, even as a kid growing up in the late 80s and 90s.”

They also added that the constant laughter captured by cameras seemed like a sign of the writers’ uncertainty about the quality of their work, which appeared to be even more embarrassing with multi-camera format since it was already pretty outdated.

The user eventually got support from another fan who also expressed their doubts regarding their desire to see Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage by saying “Ewwwww. I don't want it. Prefer filmed comedies.”

However, the franchise’s creators can’t say the same about the old-fashioned manner of good old sitcoms since The Big Bang Theory was a total blast when it came out.

As Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage producer Chuck Lorre revealed, he’d been told lots of things like this before the original series was released, but when The Big Bang Theory hit the screens, no one seemed to care that much about the format and laughter anymore.

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage will arrive on CBS with its premiere episode on October 17.
