Young Sheldon S7 Officially Accepts Mandy As One Of The Coopers
Even though we know how this ends.
Summary:
- Young Sheldon is a CBS sitcom produced as a prequel to The Big Bang Theory.
- The show focuses on the life of the Cooper family in the fictional town in the middle of the early 90s in Texas.
- Mandy, the mother of Georgie's daughter and his fiancée, is now added to the Cooper family for the opening credits.
While it's always sad to say goodbye to your favorite show, that doesn't mean the final seasons shouldn't be celebrated. If there is a chance for the show to go out with a bang, the producers should take it and do everything they can to make the experience memorable for all the loyal viewers.
As season 7 of Young Sheldon approaches, viewers are preparing to buckle up for the very last adventure with the Cooper family as we know it. While there's a promising Georgie and Mandy spinoff on the horizon, it's unlikely that the family will play much of a role in it. At least not every member of it.
Sheldon will probably move out and continue his studies, and George will die, whether on screen or left out so as not to break fans' hearts too much. Life will go on and eventually lead to the main events of The Big Bang Theory.
So before it's completely gone, the team is taking every opportunity to include everyone.
Young Sheldon Season 7 Opening Credits
To mix things up and establish how different the final season will be from the previous ones, it was decided to give Young Sheldon new opening credits.
With the ever-growing children in the cast, Iain Armitage and Raegan Revord, and Mandy as an official part of the Cooper family, the new opening keeps up with every change.
According to executive producer Steve Holland, who welcomed TVLine for the exclusive sneak peek and shared his comments, the new opening credits scene for the final season was always the plan.
“We were always going to update because it’s the last season. And honestly, there were a couple of [other] reasons: Mandy and the baby being a big part of the storyline moving forward — and now being part of the family, it felt right to include them — and, also, the kids just get older and older,” he said.
What's nice for all the fans who have stayed with the show since season 1 is that the styling of the credits hasn't changed and still has the same nostalgic feel to it.
Now it's even more fun to watch all the Young Sheldon seasons back-to-back because you can easily compare how much the cast has grown. Both literally and production-wise.
If you are already excited for Young Sheldon season 7, be sure to tune in for the premiere on February 15th on CBS. Stay tuned for more exciting news and behind-the-scenes updates.
