While we were so busy with everything else, it seems that no one paid enough attention to the main thing that happened in the show.

Young Sheldon ended its season 6 on a pretty obvious conclusion for almost all the characters. There is Mary and Sheldon on their way to Germany, Georgie and Mandy finally taking their relationship to a new level.

And as for the rest of the family, they were left to deal with what the tornado brought them.

The season 6 finale was actually straightforward, and didn't even end on a cliffhanger. At least that's what most fans thought. But the truth is, there was a major twist that almost decided the future of a major character.

The tornado affected a lot of characters in a bad way. Georgie and Missy were even in danger of dying while trying to get home.

But it was Meemaw who suffered the most. The consequences of the tornado were devastating for her, as her house was actually crushed down.

But most interestingly, that same tornado also did some good in her life. Earlier in the series, while living under the same roof, Pastor Jeff found out about Meemaw's illegal gambling business.

Frankly, her makeshift casino has hit a few rough patches this year, but given Pastor Jeff's judgmental and self-righteous personality, his intrusion into Meemaw's business was the biggest.

And there was no reason to believe that a person like him would keep quiet about such illegal activity.

Because of Pastor Jeff's self-aggrandizing nature, he has caused problems for the Coopers several times in the past.

For example, in Young Sheldon season 5, he heartlessly fired Mary after learning of Georgie and Mandy's unexpected pregnancy.

But this time, it seems that seeing Meemaw at her wretched state made Pastor Jeff unexpectedly sympathetic. Not only did he show his compassion, but he also promised not to rat out her gambling den, basically allowing it to continue to operate.

This is a big deal, especially considering that the casino money was the only income in Connie's life. So Pastor Jeff not tipping off is actually a good deed.

And we hope that the story will continue in season 7.
