Sheldon’s whole personality matters a lot more.

Not a day goes by without someone catching up with Young Sheldon and trying to make sense of all the inconsistencies between the original show and its prequel about Sheldon Cooper's childhood.

Although viewers are familiar with general information about the family, the more they get into the story, the more obvious it becomes that it doesn't match TBBT's lore at all. There are several reasons for this, and the show's creators have addressed almost all of them before, but to make a long story short, forget everything you've ever known about Sheldon.

Fans notice most of the changes in Sheldon's father, George Cooper. Although we all know how influential Mary has been on Sheldon, and how unreliable his memories of his father can be after her complaints, George still doesn't seem half as bad as he's been described.

He's not all that good either, just a slightly neglectful father who gets a couple of bottles of beer every night, but that's a very realistic image of a working father for the time and place the show is set.

Much more surprising are the changes made to Sheldon himself. Throughout the years of The Big Bang Theory, people felt sorry for him even when he did and said terrible things, assuming that he had been bullied as a child and hadn't learned any communication cues as a result.

Turns out he was just a spoiled child who never really suffered any consequences for his actions. If anything, Sheldon was a big bully himself.

He would go after anyone who was around him at the time, acting just as annoying as he did on The Big Bang Theory, but every time someone responded to him, he would take it as a personal attack and bullying against him. With that mentality, it was pretty easy to convince everyone, including himself, that he was being bullied, whether it was true or not.

To see how Sheldon’s character is going to change and develop in the upcoming season 7 of the show, make sure to keep an eye out to not miss any updates on a release date. As of now, the production dates for it are unclear due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, but it’s only a matter of time before it hits the screens.
