Young Sheldon Fans Still Demand Answers To These S6 Finale Questions
It’s a real torture to just sit and wait for the next season.
Young Sheldon season 6 ended a while ago, but there are a lot of things that are still bothering fans after the two-episode finale. Although the super-sized season covered a lot of important storylines, there are still questions that need to be answered as soon as possible.
With season 7 nowhere in sight, fans are trying to make sense of all the clues they got from last season. And frankly, there has been a lot. For example, one of the most intriguing questions is about the infamous cheating scandal.
As Big Bang Theory fans know, Sheldon was 13 when he caught his father with another woman. So when the boy genius turned that age, young Sheldon fans waited with anticipation for this moment to happen on the show. Although we know for a fact that no one was ready to actually see it.
So maybe the writers decided to spare us something that would have made us cry, but there was no cheating in season 6. And here's the question: if we know for a fact that it's inevitable, what are the chances of it happening off-screen?
Well, it's entirely possible that not showing this storyline is CBS's way of maintaining the show's lighthearted tone while staying true to The Big Bang Theory 's already shaky canon.
Another question actually involves Missy and her character development. As we saw at the end of last season, she was ready to be a good girl again and move past her rebellious phase.
But recently CBS released a video suggesting that Missy is still a rebel, and we should not expect any redemption of her character anytime soon. Is that true? And if so, what about the emotional scene with her father where she apologizes for her behavior? Still unclear…
Last but not least, fans are also worried about the future of Georgie and Mandy. In season 6, they finally got engaged. But they have made it pretty clear that tying the knot is not what they have in mind for the near future.
At this point, there's no guarantee that Young Sheldon season 7 will even get around to it. However, with The Big Bang Theory prequel potentially entering its final year, the couple's wedding could very well be saved for the series finale.
