While the show follows the early years of Sheldon Cooper's life in the chaos of early 90's Texas, it's his family that really steals the show. Over the course of 6 seasons, people fell in love with Meemaw, Mary, George, Missy and Georgie, and now care more about their finales than they do about the titular character.

“I don’t want to say what you will or won’t see, but things will get addressed. We are not beholden to every joke that was ever made on The Big Bang Theory, but we do feel beholden to the larger canon and the larger events that shape Sheldon’s life. We want to honor those,” he stated.

Now that there is no longer any mystery surrounding this grim topic, fans of the show are left to wonder how exactly this will happen.

Of course, everyone wants Lance Barber to stay for the entire season to celebrate the finale among the beloved cast, but no one knows for sure when and how the tragedy will strike.
