The Young and The Restless fans are used to losing characters of the show, but it seems they will never forgive the creators for the loss of this one.

Beware of massive spoilers ahead!

One of the fan-favorite characters, Jeremy Stark, was recently killed off from the series. And this time by using the word “killed” we are not just talking figuratively, we mean it. James Hyde’s character Jeremy died in a fatal confrontation with Phyllis Summers.

Well, it's just fair to say that Phyllis was warned not to have anything with Jeremy, but it is what it is now. Still, we have to remember that this is a soap opera we are talking about, so there's always a question of whether the killed character is actually dead, or is it a fake storyline.

It was about a week ago, after all, when the series did try to convince the fans that Phyllis herself had already died during the masquerade gala.

But is Jeremy really dead? The actor, James Hyde, answered this question himself in his Instagram live chat. He said it's the end for him and Jeremy.

But then he waited 10 seconds and added with a smile: "We're doing a soap, so you never know.” Wow, that sounds pretty promising, huh?

Well, we have to give Hyde some credit, because he is a veteran of many soaps, like Another World, As the World Turns, Passions. So he knows first hand that death in real life is very different from death on the show.

Later in the same chat, he suggested that if the audience really wished to see Jeremy back on TV, they could contact the series.

"Whatever you guys want to happen, get together and let them know," he encouraged.

Well, fans certainly might have a lot of ideas! For example, Hyde’s return as Jeremy's never-mentioned twin sounds like fun! And very soap-appropriate, we must add.
