If Black Adam truly is the new hope for the DCEU, then maybe its biggest star can also do some good.

Warner Bros has long struggled to find a path for the DCEU, with the studio executives occasionally comparing it to the MCU. There were talks about how the DC universe needs someone like Kevin Feige in order to breath a new life into the iconic characters. Now that Black Adam appears to be touted as a new hope for the DCEU, there is a candidacy.

Fans are rallying for Dwayne Johnson, the actor behind Black Adam, to take over the DCEU and become DC's film chief. The Rock appears to have everything necessary for the job: he is a big fan of the universe, and he is already immersed in what might be a new start for the cinematic universe.

"Look, obviously he wasn't going to become the head of DC Film. [The] idea that he might help DC look for that person [DC film chief] and bring them in should be exciting. Because 2 things about this man should be clear after all this, 1) he does actually listen to fans and tries to provide what they want, and 2) he can actually make things happen. And those are two things DC severely needs, and have severely lacked," Reddit user SlumdogSeacrestLaw suggested.

Despite the fact that the Rock is clearly more of an entertainer than an executive, many fans believe that he would "do a better job than anyone else in power" right now.

Currently, the strategy adopted by Warner Bros. Discovery head David Zaslav does not seem to sit well with many DC fans. In the wake of Batgirl cancellation and the Flash controversy, Johnson's Black Adam appeared to be a breath of fresh air — not least due to the movie (spoiler alert) bringing back Henry Cavill 's Superman.

Johnson himself has indicated that, as a "DC boy", he is excited to tell even more stories of DC characters, including those who have not yet been introduced to the universe.

Black Adam premieres in theaters on October 21, with early reviews already saying that the movie might "revive" the DCEU, and critics praising it for amazing visuals and exciting action scenes.
