Yes, Wednesday Season 2 Might Make Wenclair Canon - or Ruin It Completely

Wednesday season 2 announcement has quickly revived hopes in the fandom that the second chapter might have the show's popular pairing, Wenclair (Wednesday and Enid), become canon.
These speculations have only intensified after ScreenRant reported that writers are considering to make the relationship between Wednesday and Enid a "focal point" of the show and "gradually move toward fulfilling a romantic pairing, rather than just teasing audiences about a potential relationship between the two."
While there have been no official statements on that matter, the fandom is already buzzing about how season 2 might make Wenclair canon, which is not entirely impossible even though writers previously established that they viewed the girls as friends. The cast, however, has been actively hinting they were down to Wednesday and Enid engaging into some sort of a romantic relationship.
However, there is a catch that some fans are already fearing even though it might be way too soon to worry. Wenclair fan account on Twitter, thinkingofjenna, has suggested that the tease might go horribly wrong, and writers might actually proceed to make Enid... Wednesday's stalker.
What might seem like a great betrayal plot twist to writers is very likely to be a catastrophe for fans, even those who don't "ship" Wednesday and Enid.
