Yellowstone: Where to Watch? Every Streaming Platform to Enjoy the Best Western Show
It's time to binge the show before it's over.
In 2018, the TV western Yellowstone starring Kevin Costner was released by the creator of Wind River and Hell or High Water, Taylor Sheridan.
Yellowstone is coming to a close – and even though it's been confirmed that Kevin Costner won't be returning to finish this epic story, that doesn't mean the finale isn't worth watching.
Season 5, Part 2 won't be released until November 10th, so you still have time to binge the entire series and join all the fans for the finale in a few months. Here's where you can stream all of Yellowstone's five seasons.
Where to Watch Yellowstone?
Peacock is streaming Yellowstone. Currently, only the first season is accessible for free on this platform, however all episodes that have been released can be streamed on Peacock Premium for a fee.
Moreover, you can rent or buy it on Prime Video and Apple TV.
What is Yellowstone About?
Millionaire farmer John Dutton (Kevin Costner) owns a ranch in Montana's Yellowstone National Park so large that he has to use his own helicopter to get around.
The Dutton family has been in control of the area since the town was founded, but this demarcation does not sit well with the indigenous tribes, whose new leader, a gambling lobbyist, wants to match the Duttons’ power.
The land is also being encroached upon by a businessman, Jenkins, who wants to build an elite entertainment and hotel complex near the park. Dutton is supported against his enemies by the local governor, with whom he obviously has a close relationship, and by his four adult children.
Yellowstone is a Perfect Neo-Western
The show immediately draws you in with its setting: broad-brimmed hats, rifles and revolvers, mustangs and bison, men with stern faces and feisty women ready to defend their homes, all of it in almost the first five minutes of the pilot episode.
But if you are expecting classic cowboy chases or a shootout between a sheriff and robbers, Yellowstone will not give you that – the story of the Dutton family unfolds in our time, which means that horses are sometimes replaced by ATVs; the protection of the estate is carried out not from watchtowers, but from a helicopter; and the indigenous tribes maintain communication not with the help of fire and smoke, but with ordinary cell phones.
But do not rush to get upset. Yellowstone remains a Western even in the setting of the latest technology. The main characters defend their land and property – and that means there will be warning shots and even deaths.
