Yellowstone Season 5 Will Have Even More Episodes to Kick Us in the Teeth
The fifth season is going to be split in two parts, and part one is about to wrap up soon.
Yellowstone season 5 consists of more episodes than any previous season of the show, and it's safe to say that more drama is on the way as well.
The 14 episodes of the fifth season are going to be split in two seven-episode parts — also for the first time ever. Currently, the release dates are only confirmed for the first part, with episode 7 to premiere on Paramount Network on December 18.
So far, we have five episodes from the first installment, all of which arrived to mixed responses: while some fans love the slow pace and good old ranch drama, others argue that the show is in stagnation and needs to either wrap up or get some new plotlines.
Part 1 has two more episodes to come out, with episode 6 to air on December 11. Many fans believe that the upcoming two episodes will be stuffed with drama, given that part 1 conclusion will basically be a mid-season finale, and therefore might serve some kind of a plot twist.

However, what also stirs the buzz up is the fact that the length of the upcoming hiatus is unknown. It is also unclear whether season 5 will become the final one for the Kevin Costner-led show, or if it will ride the hype wave and milk the story until fans reach The Walking Dead frustration level.
