The show must end with some dignity.

Summary:

  • Yellowstone season 5 part 2 is about to be released in November 2024.
  • There are many storylines that should be wrapped up properly to end the show without cliffhangers.
  • The only way to make it right is to give the land to those who had it first.

Taylor Sheridan 's Yellowstone is the most popular western TV show out there. The epic series revolves around the Dutton family, with the one and only John Dutton at the center of the story (even though he will very soon be out of the picture).

Most of the show's events take place on or near the Yellowstone ranch, so the ranch itself is another main character, and what happens to the land in the end is the trickiest question to cover.

Over the course of five seasons (with the second part of the last season yet to be released) the main characters of the show did their best to make a fortune out of the land and use it as they pleased.

While at the same time, the Native Americans, who were the first owners of the land, suffer continuously after losing their homeland years ago.

Many fans of the Yellowstone universe believe that there is only one way to end the series, and that is to give the land back to those who owned it before it was taken from them by the first generation of Duttons, the ones from the 1883 spin-off prequel series.

There was a prophecy in there that the Duttons could only use the land for 7 generations.

And as we know, Kevin Costner 's John Dutton is not coming back, so it seems that the ranch would be better inherited by none other than Tate, the son of Monica and Kayce Dutton.

“Most die. Kayce, Monica and Tate inherit the ranch, it’s given back to Broken Rock as it should be and the family lives on the ranch and the ranch is returned to its rightful owners and all is well,” Redditor heedtheunderverse said.

If you want to refresh your memory before the end of the series finally arrives, Yellowstone is available to stream on Prime.
