Now that fans have finally seen the new trailer for the survival drama Yellowjackets, and season 2 is just around the corner, it's time to remember how fans almost solved one of the show's many mysteries.

One of the most popular fan theories was that Adam, Shauna's handsome lover, is actually Javi as an adult.

Shauna is so protective of her and the Yellowjackets ' secrets that when she suspects that Adam isn't who he claims to be, she kills him. Javi himself is last seen in the forest, on a drug trip from mushrooms.

Given that he is in the wild in an inadequate state, it is logical to assume that he did not survive in the end, but fans have already been taught that if the hero's death does not happen right on the screen, then he can be resurrected at any moment.

So, what made the fans think that Adam was Javi, coming to avenge the Yellowjackets for their past sins? The first and easiest is their outward resemblance.

Secondly, this is Adam's tattoo, which resembles those very mysterious geometric shapes that first appeared in the forest and then on envelopes someone sent to the heroines.

However, no matter how well thought out this theory may seem, the creators themselves disproved it, but in a way that made the fans even happier than if they had guessed correctly.

Adam really was supposed to be the adult version of Javi, but while writing season one, the writers decided to scrap the idea.

"We fairly early on dispensed with that idea. It did not feel organically right to us. It didn't feel to deliver on the promise of what we actually wanted to dramatise with her [Shauna's] affair and their marriage.

We chose not to, but some people called it and were, I think, eager to see it happen." Co-showrunner Jonathan Lisco commented.

The creators also added that the plot twist seemed too extra for a show where most of the action is already built around unsolved mysteries.

But now is not the time to put down your magnifiers and monocles, detectives! Fans noticed another detail about Adam that raised more questions than answers.

In one scene, they spotted a video camera in Adam's apartment that could have recorded the murder and disposal of Adam's body.

So even though Adam is dead, who knows, maybe he's going to cause more trouble for the Yellowjackets in death than he did while living?
