With 'Secrets of Dumbledore' Disappointing Box Office, What Are the Chances of 'Fantastic Beasts 4' Being Greenlit?
Warner Bros. initially had ambitious plans for six 'Fantastic Beasts' movies, but it looks like box office numbers also will have a say in the franchise's future.
'Fantastic Beasts: Secrets of Dumbledore' is not doing great in theaters, having brought pretty modest $283 million in its worldwide box office two weeks after the release.
At home, the movie grossed a little more than $70 million. This does not mean good news for the 'Fantastic Beasts' fans, given that reports said that Warner Bros. will look at the third movie's performance in theaters before greenlighting the sequels.
Even fans themselves are full of doubts at this point.
But some people are still hopeful and even rolling out their ideas for future films… should they ever be released.
'Fantastic Beasts: Secrets of Dumbledore' premiered on April 15 in the US, almost a week after it was released in the United Kingdom.
