The final part of the saga is now eight years away, and who knows what might happen in that time.

Disney 's recent update regarding their new releases has affected a wide variety of films owned by the industry giant, including the live-action remake of Moana, several MCU films, and new Star Wars movies, with some moving up and some being delayed.

But the biggest change that disappointed fans the most was regarding the upcoming Avatar movies, which, in case you didn't know, are now also owned by Disney after they purchased 20th Century Fox, now known as 20th Century Studios.

It was announced that Avatar 3 is now scheduled for December 19, 2025, Avatar 4 for December 21, 2029, and Avatar 5 for December 19, 2031, which is an astonishing eight years from now.

Such major changes are believed to be due in part to the current WGA strike and production delays.

While the company assures that these delays will only help the development of Avatar's post-production and visual effects department between films, fans fear that there is a possibility that they will not see the final parts of James Cameron 's epic story.

The reason for such concerns is quite simple, as the legendary filmmaker is already 68 years old, and fans are a bit worried about what might happen in these eight years.

The other thing that bums them out is that it seems less and less likely that we will see any more movies from the iconic filmmaker after the Avatar saga ends.

He will be 75 years old by then, and it is unclear if he will continue his directing career after finishing his long-term passion project, which is a shame for fans who want to see more of his groundbreaking films.

Anyway, all we can do is wish James good health, long life and inexhaustible passion for his craft, so that he can continue to create his masterpieces for years to come.
