With all the recent revelations coming from the series’ cast about the season 2 ending, it seems like viewers should get prepared for yet another portion of mixed feelings that they have to keep right until the next season is dropped in 2025.

Ahead of the season’s final episode, Erika Christensen, who in the show portrays Will Trent’s colleague Angie Polaski, revealed that the ending is far from something that fans may expect it to be.

According to the actress, “it’s going to be very polarizing” as the finale will surely leave some viewers quite happy about everything that’s going to happen while others may still be pretty much disappointed by it.

Christensen’s reflection on Will Trent’s season 2 ending resonates with what the show’s leading actor Ramón Rodríguez recently had to say as the actor admitted the season would end on a cliffhanger.

Rodríguez also stressed that the finale would focus on Will Trent’s complicated position where he’d be about to gain something, but still lose something else anyway. Overall, the actor seems to be on the same page with his co-star saying that the final episode will be pretty intense and nothing like many fans would want it to be.

The finale’s official description suggests that Will, accompanied by his colleagues Angie and Faith, embark on an investigation of several cases all of which have something to do with the murders of several sex offenders.

At the same time, Angie makes up her mind about a big offer that she received from GBI Deputy Director Amanda.

Will Trent’s season 2 finale is set to be aired on May 21.
