Will Russo Brothers Direct Marvel's 'Secret Wars'?
Are we ready for another Avengers-level threat to our hearts?
Anthony and Joe Russo seem to be entertaining the idea of directing Marvel's 'Secret Wars ', acknowledging that the film might be bigger than both Infinity Saga features that the brothers have already made for Marvel.
Speaking with Deadline about the possibility of taking the wheel, the Russo brothers did not, however, confirm anything officially.
"The one series that we adored growing up was 'Secret Wars'. It's incredibly ambitious. It would be bigger than 'Infinity War ' and 'Endgame'. But it's a massive undertaking. Those two movies were very hard to make. So trying to imagine making another two movies even bigger than those two? We're going to have to sleep on that."
An interesting thing is how the brothers already refer to 'Secret Wars' as two movies, even though there was no official information as to how many films the 'Secret Wars' adaptation would include.
But for the directors, returning to Marvel to make something even more massive than the Infinity Saga seems to be a true dream. A similar thing is true for fans, who can't wait for the Russos to direct 'Secret Wars'. Many people have recalled that the MCU 's most successful movies were made by the two, and it looks like Phase Four could use some old-school approach.
But some people apparently think that the Russos could use some help.
Still, the majority of MCU fans believe that Joe and Anthony are the single most perfect choice to direct 'Secret Wars'. With San Diego Comic-Con to kick off on July 20, many fans believe that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige might officially confirm the Russos as directors for the movie.
