Will Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart Reunite For David Cronenberg?
The powerhouse 'Twilight' couple rose to fame in the romantic vampire saga, but has never starred in the same project together since. Can David Cronenberg fix that?
The Canadian horror maestro has worked with both Robert Pattinson ( 2012's 'Cosmopolis') and Kristen Stewart ( this year's 'Crimes of the Future'), so he seems to understand both stars well. And given the duo's willingness to trade Hollywood blockbusters for art-house work, the idea could definitely work. Cronenberg has just returned from an eight-year sabbatical from directing and is currently developing some interesting projects.
In a conversation with Word of Reel Cronenberg talked about his relationship with Pattinson and Stewart and expressed his admiration for their acting abilities.
"It was Robert who actually introduced me to Kristen. They have developed beautifully, separately, as actors. Making arthouse movies and successfully carrying that off. For me, yeah, I can definitely think of a movie, or idea, that would be great to have them both together," Cronenberg said.
Fans of the former couple are certainly excited about their reunion on the big screen, but many are still worried about how such experience could hurt the actors themselves.
