Will DC's 'Titans' and 'Doom Patrol' Get Canceled?
More and more DCEU projects seem to be under threat.
Those expecting the new seasons of Warner Bros.' 'Titans' and 'Doom Patrol' have gone full emotional roller-coaster mode after Variety suggested in its article on DC inside developments that the two shows might end up being axed like 'Batgirl'.
However, Variety underlined that no definitive announcements have been made – on the contrary, a lot of projects, including 'Titans' and 'Doom Patrol', are in the dark right now, with the updates on their potential renewal still to arrive.
The only project that seems to be safe is the 'Joker ' musical sequel, and it also seems to be showered in money, according to the report.
Even though it might be too early to worry about 'Titans' and 'Doom Patrol', Twitter immediately got flooded with concerned posts by people demanding that Warner Bros. "keep their hands off" the beloved projects.
Although, to be fair, 'Titans' appear to enjoy way less fan love than 'Doom Patrol' does. According to fans, the latter is one of the "best shows DC has put out in years", while 'Titans' suffer from "lazy" writing.
Some people even seem to be fully on board with Warner Bros. cancelling two shows in question.
"Gonna be honest... I think these shows should be canceled. I haven't found them to be good or enjoyable to watch... And with everything changing over there at DC and WB Discovery, it's understandable why these shows would be dropped. Here's to something better afterwards..." – @jakejameslugo
'Titans' are currently in limbo with 3 seasons, while its spinoff 'Doom Patrol' is awaiting its potential renewal for season 4. The events of 'Doom Patrol' notably take place in another universe, not the 'Titans' one.
Fears for the future of various DC projects emerge after the bombshell cancellation of 'Batgirl' that came despite millions of dollars and months of production already being put into the movie.
