Will Criminal Minds: Evolution Be on CBS? Here's How & When to Watch It

Criminal Minds: Evolution is right around the corner.
After a nearly 3-year hiatus, longtime fans will be reunited with the beloved FBI profilers on Thursday, November 24.
However, Criminal Minds, which was originally a CBS show, has moved to the Paramount+ streaming service.
As a result, viewers accustomed to watching their favorite crime drama every Wednesday or Thursday night on CBS are wondering if the revival will return to the broadcast network.
Unfortunately for some longtime viewers, only one episode of Criminal Minds: Evolution will air on CBS.
Earlier this month, the network announced a special broadcast of the premiere episode of Evolution on Thursday, November 24 at 10pm ET/PT.
Meanwhile, for those who love the first episode, Paramount+ will debut the first two episodes of the revival on Thursday and will continue to release one episode per week until the finale on February 9, with a Christmas break from December 15 to January 12.
In total, the 16th season of Criminal Minds will consist of 10 episodes. To see them all, viewers will need a Paramount+ subscription. Paramount+ offers an Essential plan with limited ads for $4.99 per month and a Premium plan with no ads for $9.99 per month, both with a one-week free trial.
What can viewers expect from Criminal Minds: Evolution?
The revival won't ignore the original storyline and characters, but it will make some changes. Fans will meet their favorite BAU members two years after the Season 15 finale. During that time, a major life-changing event has occurred.
According to the plot, COVID-19 left no Profiler untouched. Some suffered more than others, but all are as dedicated to the search for serial killers as ever. Criminals were also affected by the pandemic. The Big Bad of the Revival, Elias Volt, used his COVID-19 break from killing to create a terrifying network of serial killers that the beloved characters must track down one by one.
As you may have guessed, Criminal Minds will be changing its format from "case of the week" to one storyline per season, giving the characters more time and freedom to open up to viewers. Viewers will also notice some changes in the cast. All of the BAU members will be returning with the exception of Dr. Spencer Reid and Matt Simmons.
