The actress has won the hearts of many The Flash fans, despite not having many roles to her name.

The long-awaited The Flash finally has been released. The movie has long been controversial, thanks in large part to the antics of the main star Ezra Miller.

Now, however, the attention has been stolen by a new Supergirl named Kara, played by Sasha Calle, who made her first big screen appearance.

After graduating from high school, Sasha moved to Los Angeles to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. After graduating, Sasha began acting in movies and on television.

At first, she only appeared in short films until 2018, when she landed the role of Lola Rosales on the soap opera The Young and the Restless, which has been on the air since 1973.

A few years later, Sasha was even nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Young Actor or Actress in a Drama Series.

She later appeared in several short films, including Roxanne Benjamin's horror short Final Stop, in which she had a small role.

In 2021, Sasha landed the role of Supergirl in the DC's The Flash. According to the comics, the actress' character name is Kara Zor-El and she is Superman 's cousin.

The character first appeared in May 1959 in issue number 252 of the Action Comics series. Supergirl was created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino.

Supergirl is the female counterpart to Superman, sharing the same superpowers and vulnerability to kryptonite.

In 2022, James Gunn, who took over as co-chairman and co-CEO of DC Studios, said that in the new Flash, the actress's character will appear in a darker reading than in previous Supergirl projects.

As reported by That Hashtag Show, Sasha Calle's Supergirl will get a solo series on Max. The show will replace the previously planned Supergirl movie.

Presumably, the scriptwriters thought the plot was too lengthy for the movie, so they decided to choose the show format for the superheroine's solo performance.

The series will explore Supergirl's past and show how she got to where she is today. The show will have superheroine training, and viewers will see how she developed her supernatural abilities.

The show will also explain how Supergirl got into the situation she was in at the beginning of The Flash. It will be an answer to the questions DC fans have about Supergirl after The Flash.
