The release of the first Summit Entertainment Twilight movie in 2008 really changed the course of Hollywood cinematography. Since then, four more movies have been released by 2012, and each one has become an instant hit.
The franchise has introduced audiences to many talented actors, including the power couple Bella and Edward, as well as the entire Cullen family. One of them is Rosalie Hale, played brilliantly by Nikki Reed.
Reed started her career in 2003 with the movie Thirteen, which she co-wrote with director Catherine Hardwicke. And later, it was actually Hardwicke who cast Reed as Twilight's cold-blooded Rosalie.
The Saga made her extremely famous, but it turned out that committing to the role and the franchise in general was actually very stressful for the actress. She told Yahoo! that she felt self-conscious about playing the role of "the most beautiful woman in the world." And that put a lot of pressure on her.
A year after the final Twilight movie was released, Reed starred in the drama Empire State with Liam Hemsworth. Unfortunately, the movie went straight to DVD and wasn't much of a success.
Since then, Reed has appeared in several movies and TV shows. She had roles in the movies Balls Out, Pawn and In Your Eyes. Reed also played Betsy Ross in Sleepy Hollow from 2015 to 2016 and landed the role in V-Wars in 2019.
But it seems like Reed never felt bad for the fact that her acting career took a turn back.
As for now, she has her own sustainable jewelry line and spends a lot of time participating in animal welfare and activism conferences.
