One of the most adored things about Bridgerton is the attention to detail in the costumes.

As with any period piece, the costume designers have to dress the characters in a way that is not only historically accurate but also pleasing for the viewers. The clever use of colour and style has also become something of a plot device (such as Penelope almost always wearing yellow), making the costumes almost characters of their own accord.

Fans become used to seeing their favourite Bridgerton characters dressed beautifully, especially the ladies. Yet still, they find themselves waiting with bated breath to see what their favourites will don for those special occasions.

And what could be more special than a wedding? That anxious wait as the audience watches two characters fall in love, have their struggles, and eventually marry, only makes the reveal of the bride's dress on that big day all the more exciting.

Strangely, even when a character is not in love and is required to marry (as was common in the Bridgerton era), fans still feel that catch in their throat when they see the bride for the first time in her gown. There is just something so beautiful about a bride on her wedding day, no matter the circumstances.

Bridgerton fans have taken to Reddit to debate which character had the best wedding look, Daphne or Edwina. And there is no clear consensus! It seems that they love the flowing, subtle, delicate ensemble on Daphne, as much as they love the more intricate, detailed, and elegant look on Edwina.

Looking closer, one eagle-eyed fan has pointed out that this is likely another example of genius from the costuming department.

Daphne is marrying for love and her look seems more comfortable, while Edwina is not, and hers appears more restrictive. Whether this was intentional is anyone's guess, but knowing the Bridgerton costume department's penchant for being just as much part of the story as the characters themselves, it is likely not accidental.

One thing that all fans do seem to agree upon, however, is that each dress suits the character. Daphne's dress probably would not have suited Edwina, and vice versa. But both looks, and the stunning jewellery, are worn perfectly by the ladies themselves. They are very different, just as the two characters are very different.

While some fans have levelled criticism toward the costume choices here (historical inaccuracy being the most common), for the most part, the outfits were hugely adored. Definitely two more wins for the wonderful costumers of Bridgerton.
