Who Was the Best Character of Each American Horror Story Season?

With American Horror Story fans waiting for each new episode of the 12th season, we think it’s just the right time to remember some of the best characters from each of the previous seasons.

Constance Langdon (Murder House)

The unforgettable Constance Langdon, played by the incredible Jessica Lange, was such a standout that they had to bring her back for a guest appearance in season 8. Murderer she might be, but dang, she’s likable.

Sister Jude Martin (Asylum)

Jessica Lange strikes again with Sister Jude Martin, the stern nun from Asylum. She started as the one in charge but ended up facing karma for all her harsh deeds.

Fiona Goode (Coven)

Fiona Goode, also portrayed by Jessica Lange, is the former head witch who’s all about glamor and power. She’s a mix of charisma, ruthlessness, and unexpected kindness, making Coven an unpredictable thrill ride.

Twisty (Freak Show)

Who’s afraid of clowns? Well, everyone after meeting Twisty. This character brought chills and became a Halloween costume favorite. He returned to haunt us again in AHS: Cult.

The Countess (Hotel)

Lady Gaga as a stylish vampire? Yes, please. The Countess was cruel but oh-so-glamorous, making her a standout character that perfectly blended style and sinister.

Lee Harris (Roanoke)

Roanoke was quite the daring experiment for AHS, and amidst the chaos, Lee Harris emerged as the ultimate survivor. Played brilliantly by Adina Porter, Lee was complex, memorable, and stood tall among the AHS greats.

Kai Anderson (Cult)

Evan Peters portrayed Kai Anderson, a character scary because of his believability. This charismatic, manipulative leader was inspired by real-life events, making his character all the more unsettling.

Madison Montgomery (Apocalypse)

Emma Roberts as a telekinetic teen witch? Count us in. Madison Montgomery added a sprinkle of romance and lots of memorable moments to Apocalypse!

Montana Duke (1984)

Billie Lourd’s Montana was a blast of color and attitude. Her bold Valley Girl persona and unexpected character arc made her a personal favorite!

Belle Noir (Red Tide)

Frances Conroy’s Belle Noir was a showcase of range and talent. Playing a character who traded her soul for success, Conroy brought delicious evil to the role.

Patrick Read (NYC)

And lastly, Patrick Read, the NYPD detective with a secret life and twisted traits, definitely added intrigue to the NYC season.
