Who In The World Would Cast Justin Bieber As Serial Killer? Turns Out, CSI Would (And Did)

Back in 2010, when young Justin Bieber was at the beginning of his burgeoning career, everyone wanted a piece of his success. With an army of fans devoted to everything their idol did, almost every project Bieber got involved with was guaranteed to be a commercial success.
It's no wonder the singer and songwriter decided to try his hand at acting. As a teenager, Bieber was still on the fence about his future career, and in case his passion for music waned, it would be great to have a second plan. However, his choice of show to join was questionable to begin with.
You can see the appeal of a Disney show for a young teenager who has a lot of fans around his age, or The CW's young adult hit. However, CSI: Criminal Scene Investigation was a very unexpected choice, not suitable for Bieber's main audience. Perhaps the star was intrigued by the role he had to play as a serial killer and bomber named Jason McCann.
No doubt it was a great learning experience for Bieber, but the show suffered quite a bit because of the risk they took. Bieber's acting wasn't up to par with his co-stars in the scenes, and the interesting nature of his character got lost behind the poor performance. McCann appeared in two episodes of the show's 11th season and was killed off on-screen.
Both episodes starring Bieber received very mixed reviews, with some saying the show should have stuck with a regular actor who didn't lack the intimidating killer presence of the musician, and others praising him for getting better in the second episode.
Either way, it was not the smashing success that we can imagine the show executives were hoping for.
Unfortunately, the scene of Jason McCann's rather brutal murder was taken out of context and used to fuel Justin Bieber's hatred. Considering that both the singer and his character were teenagers at the time, the Internet once again took the opportunity to prove its lack of morals.
