Which Hogwarts House the Pottermore Sorted Tom Holland Into?
Tom Holland revealed what colors he would wear if he walked the halls of Hogwarts, and fans disagreed.
The "golden boy" of Marvel, Pixar, Netflix, and other popular studios, Tom Holland has amassed a huge following throughout his brilliant acting career.
But as it turns out, the actor himself is part of a huge fandom. In an interview with Ali Plumb, Holland revealed that he is a huge Potterhead, even claiming that he knows more about the beloved franchise than J.K. Rowling herself. Furthermore, the actor revealed his Hogwarts house.
When Plumb, a proud Hufflepuff himself, suggested that Tom was Gryffindor, the actor didn't miss a beat in admiring his insight.
"Absolutely! You know what's weird? I was talking to someone the other day, and we were talking about what Hogwarts house I'd be in. And I took a quiz online and I was Gryffindor," Holland said.
He added that taking a quiz was actually nerve-wracking. As with any Harry Potter fan, his house undoubtedly meant a lot to him. But fans in the comments didn't agree with the Pottermore quiz.
"It's time for Tom to accept that he is a Hufflepuff. And only a Hufflepuff," one of the most popular comments under the video read.
Fans feel that Tom Holland possesses all the qualities that a true Hufflepuff should have. He is kind, hardworking, patient, and has a strong sense of justice.
Tom, however, doesn't think so. In a Q&A session on his Instagram account, the actor confirmed that his Hogwarts house is Gryffindor and even gave Hufflepuff a bit of a dig.
"[I am] 100% a Gryffindor student," he said. "Because that's where Harry Potter's from and that's the best one. Who's going to be all like, 'Yeah I'm going to be in Hufflepuff?'"
Upon hearing that Eddie Redmayne was actually a Hufflepuff and not shy about it, Holland sounded surprised. So maybe the fans are wrong, and Tom Holland is not a member of the proud Hufflepuff gang, which in addition to Redmayne also includes Dwayne The Rock Johnson, Natalie Dormer, Ed Sheeran, and Deadpool.
After all, the Sorting Hat usually respects a student's wishes.
Interestingly, Tom's girlfriend Zendaya is also a Gryffindor. The actress told ET Online that she even has a Gryffindor outfit.
However, the couple's on-screen counterparts would probably not be sorted into the same house. Fans are sure that if it was not Holland, then Peter Parker would have to be a Hufflepuff, and MJ would be a Ravenclaw.
