Having spent 8 years on the set since she was 14, Williams herself admitted to feeling a bit of a loss after Game of Thrones ended. The HBO hit was the actress' first television credit, and she had to find a way to come into her own when it was over.
During the years that Game of Thrones was filming, the actress made a few more appearances in the animated series Robot Chicken, voicing Black Cherry Pie and Didi Pickles, and in the iconic British sci-fi series Doctor Who as Ashildr. She also appeared in several films, including the drama The Book of Love and the period film Mary Shelley.
After the show ended, the actress continued her work in front of the camera. In 2020, she appeared as Rahne Sinclair in The New Mutants. The movie was supposed to be a trilogy, but it failed at the box office, so the plans were scrapped.
