What If Jack Black Was The Superman We Needed All This Time?
Look no further – we have a new Superman in town.
The brilliant comedic actor Jack Black jokingly made his case to be the next Man of Steel and honestly, we wouldn't have it any other way.
The comic actor has "accepted" (in his own hilarious way) to be the Man of Steel in the new DC universe created by James Gunn.
The comedian and actor has uploaded a video on his Instagram account in which he reluctantly "accepts" to be the new Superman at the request of James Gunn, who has followed the joke and commented that he thought they "agreed to save this news for ComicCon".
Beware of the content: One dandelion has it rough there.
DC's new boss James Gunn has his work cut out for him. Gunn announced the new DC movies and series recently revealing that there will be new actors in the shoes of Superman and Batman, although he did not reveal their names yet.
Replacing Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel will not be an easy feat, but we already have a first candidate willing to give everything to the role of Clark Kent: Jack Black.
The new Superman movie is scheduled to be released in 2025, and if Gunn wants a true new reboot of the DC universe, and a refreshing look on the Superman character, who can be a more groundbreaking version than Jack Black?
In the "trailer" of the new Superman movie shared by Black, we can see the new suit of the Kryptonian superhero, his most classic powers such as flight and laser vision, and Black's combat skills, as the actor has performed all the action sequences himself. And we get to see an exclusive cameo of Jack Black' dad.
As the famous School of Rock actor provides us with a much-needed comic relief and puts a smile on our faces, James Gunn should definitely think about Jack Black for the role – no kidding.
