What Happens to Sloane in 'The Umbrella Academy' Season 3?

Sloane Hargreeves is the Sparrow Academy's Number Five. Capable of defying gravity, she was the one who ended up becoming friends – and then more than friends – with the Umbrella's Number One, Luther.
After initially going off to a bad start, the members of both Sparrow and Umbrella realize they will have to team up in order to – yet again – prevent the universe collapse caused by the Kugelblitz. The mysterious phenomenon turns out to be a black hole that formed as a result of the time paradox induced by the members of the Umbrella Academy.
As it is capable of literally sucking people inside and thus killing them, the end of the season has the two teams finally collaborating. At some point of their plan to make things right, it turns out that the way to reset the universe is to have Klaus, Diego, Lila, Viktor, Sloane, Ben and Five killed.
Reginald Hargreeves appears to be cool with the sacrifice, but Allison begs to differ. She attacks Reginald and presses a button on the control pad of the machine he wanted to use.
The universe ends up being reset, but everyone seems to have lost their powers. Sloane ends up disappearing, with her fate remaining unknown. Nothing on screen indicated that she died, and in the end of episode 10, Luther embarks on a quest to find her.
It looks like Sloane's whereabouts might be addressed in season 4, should it be confirmed by the showrunners. As of now, no official statements as to whether we should expect season 4 of 'The Umbrella Academy' to arrive any time soon have been made.
