Ms. Marvel is among new characters that are introduced in the MCU's Phase Four, but she has already prompted a lot of discussions among fans.

Before we get to know Kamala Khan, a.k.a. Ms. Marvel, in the upcoming TV series on Disney Plus, let's delve into her story that has already been told in the comic books. Particularly, what are her powers?

It is important to note that Kamala is not the only superheroine in the Marvel universe who uses the name Ms. Marvel, but since the show is focusing on Khan, we're going to delve into her origin story.

Kamala is a Muslim girl from New Jersey, who idolizes Captain Marvel. By luck she then gets superpowers that allow her to be more like her idol. Among her abilities, per the comics, is elongation: she is able to extend all her limbs and torso and even shapeshift. Also, she can enlarge or shrink herself, similarly to Ant-Man. In her larger form, Kamala Khan is capable of lifting up to 75 tons. Besides, Kamala has a healing factor, but she cannot use it too extensively unless she is ready to get through severe fatigue.

As to her powers in the MCU, we didn't get to see a lot of that as of now, but people seem to already being disappointed about how she is portrayed. The new teaser shows Kamala's hands glow with blue light – something that looks similar to the powers of her idol, Captain Marvel.

But some fans already decided that her powers have been changed, and they don't like this development.

However, at some point in the teaser one can spot Kamala extending her hand, and some fans also spot her stretching in other brief moments of the new clip.

Well, there is also an argument for this one…

'Ms. Marvel' premieres on June 8 on Disney Plus, and the only way for us to know whether it will be "cosmic" or not is to wait until the show actually hits screens.
