Lance Barber was an established actor long before Young Sheldon came along, but it's still surprising to see him popping up everywhere.

Over the years, the actor has made appearances in some of our favorite TV shows. He has had small parts in Joey, ER, What I Like About You, Californication, The Mentalist, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and many more.

Here are the top three shows where Lance Barber landed a role that we all forgot about.

1. Gilmore Girls

Just like in the TBBT-verse, Lance Barber had two parts in Gilmore Girls. First, he played an unnamed man at the Inn in the season 2 episode, Like Mother, Like Daughter.

Five years later, Barber appeared in the season 7 episode, Introducing Lorelai Planetarium, as Hugo Gray, a journalist who offers Rory the chance to write an article about the douchebag-filled party for his online website.

We totally missed it both times!

2. How I Met Your Mother

This time, Lance graced the show with his appearance only once, but boy was he memorable! He played a security guard in HIMYM's season 7 finale in the scene where Barney and Quinn are stopped by airport security, and he ends up proposing to her with an elaborate Barney-style magic trick that involves the guards (one of which is played by Barber).

3. Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Just a year before the actor landed one of the lead roles in Young Sheldon, he notably portrayed Patrick in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's season 4 episode, Captain Latvia.

Patrick is the perp with a nice singing voice that Holt decides to use for their group to win a competition.

At first, Patrick panics and runs off the stage. Then he gets drunk and changes the lyrics of the song to insulting ones. By the way, who knew Lance could sing so beautifully?

These are just a few of the small roles where the star truly shines. Hopefully, after Young Sheldon ends, Lance will go on to have an even more successful career than before.

Maybe he will even be cast in a third role in the new, highly anticipated TBBT spinoff and become the triple threat? We wouldn't mind that at all!
