Wait is Almost Over: Virgin River Star Gives Season 5 Premiere Date Update
Expect the beloved romantic series to be released in the summer of 2023.
If, like millions of fans, you've been anxiously awaiting updates on Virgin River Season 5, we have good news for you. Martin Henderson, who plays Jack Sheridan, has given fans something to quench their thirst for information.
The actor recently recorded a Cameo video and shared exciting information with fans about the upcoming season.
For those who may not know, Cameos are videos that fans can purchase from their favorite stars. In the video, which was later shared on Twitter by the fan account @VRPassionate, Henderson discusses various aspects of season five, including juicy storylines and a potential release date.
"Virgin River Season 5 coming out, I think, probably in July. So, not long now, a few months," the actor says in the clip. "Another installment of hot, steamy gossip and intrigue on the River."
This amazing news has caused an outpouring of positive emotions from the show's fans, who can't wait to see the continuation of Jack Sheridan's love arc with protagonist Mel Monroe.
Alexandra Breckenridge, the actress who portrays Monroe, also recorded a Cameo video in which she said she hadn't received any official updates on the release date. However, she did have her own speculation that mirrored what Henderson had said.
"The fifth season that'll come out probably, I don't know, maybe July again?" she said.
It's true that Netflix hasn't officially announced the exact release date for Season 5 just yet. However, Henderson's information could be right on the money, judging by the release dates of the previous two seasons, both of which aired in July.
It is also known that the upcoming season will follow in the footsteps of Season 4 as far as the number of episodes is concerned. It will have 12 episodes instead of the 10 episodes that seasons one through three had.
As for how many seasons there will be in total, there's no official information from Netflix either. However, dedicated fans can expect many more installments in the future.
The show is based on Robyn Carr's book series, which consists of a whopping 24 novels, and Netflix drama head Jinny Howe has promised that as long as viewers enjoy the show, which they definitely do, the vast universe of the character will find its way to the screen.
Fingers crossed!
