The return of an ex-wife is never a good idea.

Virgin River is a romantic series that premiered in 2019 and unexpectedly became a huge hit. With its intricate storylines and complex characters, the show immediately caught the attention of fans around the world.

Season 4 ended with many cliffhangers that need to be resolved in the upcoming episodes. But thanks to the newest showrunner Patrick Sean Smith new hints about what is going to happen are all over the internet.

As it turned out, there may be more trouble ahead for Mel and Jack in the future. The couple has already survived his pushy ex Charmaine, an attempted murder, paternity questions and much more. Now they're finally happy and are expecting their first child. But this peace may be destroyed by someone from Jack’s past.

We knew he was married before. It was revealed in season 3, and it was a shock. And as Smith said, the reappearance of Jack's ex-wife Mandy would "complicate things" for him and Mel.

As it appears, fans also have been predicting Mandy’s returning into Jack’s life for quite some time.

“I think they will bring Mandy in to stir the pot between Mel and Jack in either season 4 or 5. Martin mentioned in an interview saying he wouldn’t be surprised if she came back (he never directly confirms or denies things since he’s not allowed to). As well as I’m thinking why even bother throwing that in there if they are never going to touch base on it?” Redditor Kreddit762668 said.

There's actually one more clue to Mandy's return in season 5. The show will have a new cast member. Kandyse McClure will be joining Virgin River next season, although there are no details yet on who she'll be playing.

Even though Jack is now with Mel and has no intention of changing that, there's still a great possibility that the ex-wife joining the story could really bring a lot of negativity into their happy lives.
