Virgin River Fans May Have Already Written a Better S5 Plot Than the Writers
From questions of paternity to attempted murder, Virgin River is certainly no stranger to cliffhangers.
The show has been incredibly popular since its debut in 2019, and viewers have become invested in the characters and storylines. Of course, with that investment comes a desire to see where the show will go next, and some fans are taking it upon themselves to come up with their own plot ideas for the upcoming season.
Ranging from dramatic twists to unexpected character arcs, these fan theories are so varied and creative that it seems like some of them may be better than what the writers have in store for us.
After season 4's bombshells and many fates left unclear, fans can't wait to see which direction the lead characters' lives will be taking. As production of season 5 has officially wrapped up, the next season is anticipated to air this year, and Reddit is already buzzing with predictions ahead of the release.
According to them, we could be witnessing quite a few turns of events, such as the season kicking off with a time jump to Christmas, Mel being kidnapped, Mel and Jack getting married at the end of the season, and even Cameron finding a new love interest. And let's not forget, fans are expecting Charmaine to give birth after a pregnancy that fans have referred to as the longest in the history of television.
But while sharing speculations may be fun, fans predicted many things for season 4, too.
Among many other theories, viewers were convinced that the last season would bring a love triangle between Brie, Brady, and Mike, and that Mel would be the one to propose to Jack. But as we all saw, these didn't quite pan out, and the show creators had something else in mind.
The One Line So Overused on Virgin River, It's Become Laughable
The show's new showrunner Patrick Sean Smith, who is joining the series for the next run, has already teased to TVLine that season 5 will pick up right after Season 4, and there will be no time jump between the seasons. So, there's no hope for the time jump to take place in the first episode. Any other details are yet to be revealed, but with what we know so far, it seems like no matter what the writers of the show come up with, fan theories will still be better.
