Vecna Has Already Spoiled Stranger Things S5 Big Deaths For Us
Who will die in season 5? Well, what if we have had the answer all along?
With Stranger Things 5 set to become the final chapter of the story, it's clear that fans will have to brace themselves for some drama. Even the previous seasons have forced the fandom to deal with painful character deaths, so it would be naïve to think that the final season would spare absolutely everyone we love.
However, as fans are already brainstorming and trying to guess who is threatened the most, what if Vecna himself has already set his targets and even let the Hawkins gang know? If you don't believe it, let's recall what Vecna showed Nancy before he let her go so she delivers his message to the rest of the team.
"A dark cloud spreading over Hawkins," Nancy recalled her vision. "Downtown on fire. Dead soldiers."
So far, everything sounds like what we have already seen: Vecna did induce an Upside Down earthquake in Hawkins which caused fires and had a swirling cloud of dark smoke hovering over the town.
Then, Nancy recalled a "giant creature with gaping mouth" — something that many fans believe to be similar to the dragon Will painted on his picture for Mike. Nancy said that the creature wasn't alone, joined by "so many monsters", which is also quite a possibility given that the entire Upside Down might be unleashed at Hawkins now. According to Nancy, they were "crawling" into the houses and neighbourhoods — what else could it be if not a reference to season 5 episode 1 title, The Crawl?
"And then he showed me my mom, Holly, Mike... and they... they were all," Nancy did not have to finish her sentence to let everyone know that Vecna showed her dead bodies of her family.
This might as well be his way of declaring war and setting his targets, not just a terrifying vision aimed to scare Nancy. Should it become reality, like the beginning of the vision already did, then season 5 might have Mike, the show's main character, dead alongside his entire family.
Surely, until the fifth season hits Netflix, this will all be nothing but fan theories. The writing for the season is already underway, but the shooting is yet to start. Some fans believe that season 5 is not going to arrive before early 2024.
