It's not like this show lacks family drama, but still.

House of the Dragon season 2 has a lot on its plate. With the Targaryen internal war just about to break out, one could think there was enough family drama already, but it turns out that in this universe, it can never be enough.

According to fans, the first season has left plenty of hints that there might be some bad blood between Jacaerys and Daemon, but never actually explored the relationship between the two.

In episode 8, as noted by many fans, Jacaerys seemed annoyed at the mere sight of Daemon when he entered the room.

"I mean everyone assumes that Daemon killed Laenor and his mom did remarry pretty fast (which like does Rhaenyra not remember how she felt when her dad remarried) so I don't think he is on top of his favorite lists," Redditor Cherry_Bomb_127 said.

Besides, other fans suggest, it might be the case that Daemon may have murdered Harwin Strong so that he wouldn't be "sharing" Rhaenyra with her lover, which also does not add to the list of reasons Jace has to be overly fond of Daemon.

Such divisive atmosphere is not the best thing for the Blacks who are just about to enter the infamous Dance of the Dragons. If Jace indeed does dislike Daemon, it might as well evolve into hatred which may result in tragedy in season 2.

House of the Dragon Destroyed Alicent With a Single Bad Decision

But even if everything is sunshine and rainbows between Jace and Daemon, the second season will deliver plenty of tragedy and even more of a family drama, since the Targaryens will clash swords over their succession dispute (and spoiler alert, it will never end well for anyone).

House of the Dragon season 2 is set to start filming in March, with the exact premiere date to be scheduled by HBO later.
