Uh-Oh, Looks Like Young Sheldon Season 7 Is Not As Safe As We Thought
Maybe Sheldon in Germany is what we get at the end?
After the Young Sheldon season 6 finale, there was almost no concern that the next season was a done deal. In fact, season 7 was guaranteed because so many storylines were left hanging and fans were just happy to see their beloved characters' stories develop.
And at first it seemed like nothing was going to change that nagging feeling that everything is going to be good.
But the latest CBS update about their fall TV programming schedule brought some disturbing news to the show’s fans.
When the network first released its fall schedule, there was nothing to indicate that Young Sheldon would not be returning after the summer hiatus. This was even as the Writers Guild strike began, delaying many shows.
Recently, however, CBS announced a move to strike-proof its programming. George Cheeks, President and CEO of CBS, shared that they are considering airing some Paramount+ originals on CBS broadcast television in place of their regular series.
What's more, we also know that the cast of Young Sheldon has been very supportive of the writers' strike, so now it seems even more likely that season 7 will be delayed. And if that happens, there's no chance that fans will get a premiere until at least early 2024. Or even later...
But the waiting part is actually not the worst thing that could happen to true fans of the show. Unless CBS tries to make up for lost time, Young Sheldon season 7 may end up being a shortened one due to its late start.
And that's too bad for the series. Because if it actually comes to an end with that season, then the writers will definitely make significant changes to the plot, and maybe even cut entire storylines.
And we are sure that’s not what the fans were dreaming to get at the end of their favorite show.
