Two Fan Favorite Characters Likely Won't Be Part of Demon Slayer Season 3
It won't be long until the third season of Demon Slayer is released, and fans are looking forward to it. However, the sad news is that viewers will most likely not see Tanjiro's friends in the To the Swordsmith Village arc.
As you know, the third season of the anime will be an adaptation of the arc To the Swordsmith Village, the main character of which is Love Hashira.
While the arrival of a long-awaited new character has fans looking forward to the full release of Demon Slayer season 3, the absence of the other two characters is likely to make viewers upset.
Inosuke and Zenitsu will most likely not appear in the new season, as they are also absent from this arc in the original manga by Koyoharu Gotouge.
Since their first appearance in the first season, the characters have become beloved by many. In the beginning, everyone was suspicious of Inosuke's appearance because he wore a boar-shaped mask on his face.
But when he showed everyone his true colors, Inosuke quickly won the hearts of Demon Slayer fans with his angelic appearance.
The boy's mother threw him off a cliff when he was a child. But instead of dying from the fall, he survived and was saved by a wild boar who raised him as his son.
So he began wearing a wild boar mask as a sign of respect for the animals that raised him.
Zenitsu also comes with an interesting history. When Zenitsu was younger, he fell in love with a girl who tricked him into collecting money to run away with her lover.
Because the girl was deeply in debt, Zenitsu got into trouble, but he was saved by the former Thunder Hashira Jigoro Kuwajima.
To repay his debt, Zenitsu had to undergo hellish training and become a demon slayer.
During one of his training sessions, Zenitsu climbed a tree because he didn't want to train anymore and was suddenly struck by lightning, turning his hair white. Zenitsu is also known to become stronger when he sleeps.
The characters absence in the manga is due to the fact that they went on separate missions, and one can only expect them to appear if the anime creators significantly change the plot of the original.
However, since the anime so far only differs from the manga in details, this is probably not to be expected.
While a couple of eccentric demon slayers is unlikely to make an appearance in the new season, fans are hoping that Love Hashira's story will be so compelling that their absence will go unnoticed.
The third season of Demon Slayer will air on April 9, 2023.
