It's not really that hot to be dunking on The Twilight series of books and movies anymore, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't have its problems.

The initial hatred that was in the community has subsided, but as we're looking at it now, 15 years later, we can calmly address some inconsistencies in the plot that baffle us.

Some things that are mentioned here are just fun gimmicks, like the sparkling skin of vampires that shines only when the author decides it's important, and Edward going on a suicide mission to Italy is purely dramatic because he could meet his end with fewer complications right where he lives.

Others, however, feel like plot holes that Stephanie Meyer just simply didn't think of and her editors weren't phased by. And maybe if Meyer expanded on some of these, the series would be much more adored by people and couldn't be brushed off as just another romance story with a layer of vampire allure on top of it.

If the lore had been just a bit more thorough, if the behavior of the characters didn't contradict the laws that were established earlier, then maybe the saga would've been even more successful.
