Twilight's Most Exciting Part Was Actually Bella Swan's Worst Mistake
Ever since figuring out who Edward was, Bella Swan was determined to become an immortal vampire as soon as possible to share their love forever.
Little did she know it was going to become her worst mistake…
Edward was rooting against it: he wanted her to at least finish college before becoming a vampire.
But Bella's unexpected pregnancy led to her dying during childbirth, and to save her, Edward had to turn her immediately. At that point, Bella was eighteen.
Edward's plan failed, and Bella became a vampire at a young age, much like himself. You may be thinking: what's the tragedy in this, though? We'll tell you.
Just like it happened with Edward, her brain's frontal lobe would never get a chance to fully develop: she was permanently stuck as a teenager.
And for someone who's bound to live forever, this is a terrible outcome. Let's see.
No emotional and mental growth
When you're a teen, you consider yourself the smartest, the toughest, and the rightest cookie in the jar… But only after you grow up a bit more do you realize how wrong you were.
The emotions and logic of a teenager are very flawed and they actively prevent them from making proper judgments and even feeling truly happy.
No physical growth
Oh so many teenagers hate their bodies and can't wait to grow up. Being turned in your teenage years ruins the chances of becoming more physically mature and proportionate.
If Bella had some complexes about the way she looked, she was now doomed to live with them forever — because she won't grow up mentally, either, so she won't get rid of them.
No relationship-wise growth
Most people older than twenty years old realize just how wrong Bella and Edward's relationship was. The amount of unnecessary drama, poor judgment, and abusive attitude is sickening, and now they were both stuck as teenagers.
Meaning, the cycle of failing to understand each other and making the worst possible decisions will continue — and neither of them will be able to stop it or just end the relationship.
No way!
That said, we're far from being the only ones who think this was a terrible, terrible outcome for Bella.
In a recent Reddit discussion, a whole lot of people absolutely agree with this and claim they would've never wanted to be turned into immortal and stagnant beings until they become more mature.
All in all, most people agree that they'd hate being stuck as teens forever. After some discussion, they agreed that the proper age for turning into a vampire is 25-30 years old.
But Bella Swan is never going to find out what she really missed, so at least, she won't have this kind of regret… Most likely.
