Vampires don't sleep, and neither do Twilight fans. The vice chairman of Lionsgate, Michael Burns, has just stated that Lionsgate is working on a new animated Twilight series, and fans already imagine how it will go.
Some fans were frustrated with the news because there’ve been rumors about a regular live-action TV show. Last year, a new Twilight project was announced by Lionsgate without any additional details on what exactly it will cover.
The new animated series will be based on the eponymous book saga by Stephanie Meyer. Since there has already been an incredibly successful movie franchise, many people weren’t too excited about a potential live-action show. They thought that it would’ve been too similar.
Will There Be a Twilight Anime?
Still, most of the fans seem to be happy that the franchise has finally taken an intriguing turn. They are excited to see the Twilight universe expand on the lore and also expect that the new animation will look more like anime, so all "cringey" dialogues and scenes will look natural.
