Kim Cattrall is hyping up her upcoming cameo in the season 2 finale of And Just Like That… on Twitter. Or is she?

One Twitter user made a joke about Kim Cattrall’s refusal to participate in Sex and the City 3, which made the headlines back in 2017.

The actress sarcastically replied, “Ha!!!” (and the fans went absolutely bonkers over her response).

The Glamorous star has allegedly been feuding with her former co-stars for years, famously turning down the offer to film the third installment of the Sex and the City movie franchise back in 2017. Preferring not to see Sarah Jessica Parker after all these years was reportedly not the only reason for her decision.

In an interview with Variety, Cattrall shared that she didn’t think that Samantha’s storyline for the third movie was appropriate for her character. Turns out, Ms. Jones was supposed to be dealing with receiving unsolicited nude pictures from Brady, Miranda’s teenage son, which Cattrall fittingly called “heartbreaking.” She also felt that she was ready to let go of Samantha Jones altogether and move on to other characters.

However, six years have passed, and Kim Cattrall seems to have changed her mind. She is now set to appear in And Just Like That… for a brief cameo at the end of season 2 (and we all can’t wait to see her).

The actress did have some demands – not being in the scenes together with any of her three former co-stars, not being in the same room with showrunner Michael Patrick King either, and having her friend and designer Patricia Field dress Samantha. Cattrall has recently gone on The View to explain the latter cameo condition. She believed that she could only come back “with that kind of Samantha style.”

There’s one thing that still doesn’t make sense. The whole third movie business was back in 2017, and Kim Cattrall has since said yes to returning to the franchise (just for a scene, but it counts), so why is she fueling up the old drama? Is this just an innocent interaction with a fan or a publicity stunt to promote the show? After all, Samantha Jones is an expert in PR, she could’ve pulled it off… just like that!
