Some of them are just a little scene, but some are the whole episode.

The Office series never fails when it comes to giving the most controversial scenes in the whole history of sitcoms.

Most of them will make you find yourself giggling like crazy, but some are so awkward that you can literally close your laptop and never come back again.

Here are our top 5 most cringeworthy moments from the iconic mockumentary sitcom.

5. The Yankee Swap Game

In episode 10, season 2 Michael makes the office play the Yankee Swap game.

He literally breaks the main rule of not buying anything expensive and brings an iPod for his beloved Ryan, and, of course, the iPod becomes a hot object of the game and an epicenter of the conflict.

But that's not what made us pull our WTF faces. When Michael got an oven mitt as a Christmas present, he tried to trade it with everyone.

The shame and disappointment on Phyllis' face, who actually knitted the present herself, literally killed us. And made us want to kill Michael for it as well.

4. Michael at Phyllis' Wedding

Michael seemed to forget that Phyllis and Bob Vance's wedding was supposed to be about Phyllis and Bob, not Michael.

But for the man who is used to being in the spotlight all the time, it seemed unbearable to stay in the shadows.

Besides the fact that Michael tried to be more involved in the wedding than he should have been, he also crashed the ceremony by constantly interrupting it, ruining photos, and making weird speeches.

And the moment with Phyllis' father in the wheelchair in front of the altar... it's just too hard to watch.

3. Michael Dumps Pam's Mom

Breaking up on good terms has never been one of Michael's strong sides.

After throwing a birthday party for Pam's mother, whom he was dating at the time, Michael decides to break up with her at the same party.

After finding out that his lady is no longer a young woman but a 58-year-old grandmother (who is literally almost Michael's age), he dumps her in front of Pam and Jim and goes from a loving boyfriend to total douche mode.

The whole scene was painful.

2. The Dinner Party

The dinner party episode has every right to be called a disaster party. From the very first seconds, it was clear that dinner at Michael and Jan's house was not going to be quiet and cozy.

And could it be, when it comes to these two? The party hosts are literally at each other's throats throughout the episode, and watching Jan dominate Michael makes it clear how miserable he is in this relationship.

From awkward pre-dinner conversations to hints of Jan having an affair with her former teen intern — the whole episode is so challenging to watch that it's classic.

1. Scott's Tots

In this season 6 episode, we find out that many years ago, Michael promised to pay the college tuition for the entire group of high school students.

At the time, he believed he would be rich by the day the kids graduated.

And as the date approached, Michael had to face reality and tell a bunch of kids who put their hopes in him that he is not capable of keeping a promise.

The episode gets worse when we see those children singing and dancing for Michael and praising him to be their savior.

We don't know about you, but every time this episode comes up, we just skip it.
