Maybe you didn't realize it when you were watching Supernaturals as an ongoing show, but in retrospect, it's filled to the brim with horror episodes, especially in the beginning.
The spooky things were more prominent when the show was in the era of establishing itself, but some of the scary moments made a comeback later on, contrasting with the more humorous and detective approach — and we made a list of them.
The show even starts as a horror, with the pilot literally firing our screens up. And the show was supposed to keep its spooky vibe, so the first season especially was filled with terrifying moments that made the characters suffer a lot — and the audience, too, by proxy.
The level of gore in the early episodes is unmatched, the boys go through so much it leaves them broken — and, thankfully, some of their experiences and their impact are referenced later.
