Sci-fi and fantasy fans are in for a treat in 2024!

After a disappointing 2023, which turned out to be rather anticlimactic due to the sudden Hollywood labor disputes that shut down almost the entire American film and television industry, with the exception of indie projects, 2024 is so far remarkably rich in releases. And the streaming services, in particular, have a long list of new offerings to satisfy even the most picky of users.

As you can see, some of the shows on the list are brand new, while others are returning for another season. Some projects have already been released, and some are just waiting to be dropped (and some have no release date at all).

Speaking of shows that have gotten a lot of hype in the past few years, the new seasons of unconventional superhero (and even anti-superhero) series The Boys and Invincible: the second half of Season 2 of the latter is now available on Prime, and critics seem to be even more excited about the new season than the previous one, with a whopping 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

We're also incredibly excited about the second seasons of House of the Dragon and The Rings of Power, which will be released on Max and Prime, respectively.

Among the brand new projects that have already been released, we would like to highlight the post-apocalyptic sci-fi satire Fallout, which has impressed many fans of the video game franchise as well as those unfamiliar with it.

As for what's coming up, we're particularly excited about The Penguin, starring Colin Farrell as the iconic DC villain, and two new Star Wars projects: The Acolyte, a prequel to the entire franchise set about 100 years before the first episode, and Skeleton Crew, starring Jude Law, which will take place concurrently with The Mandalorian.
