Tom Holland is Stuck in the MCU For At Least 4 More Years
Looks like there will be no acting hiatus for this guy.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is expanding rapidly, and it looks like its Spider-Man wing follows suit, with reports claiming that the trilogy star Tom Holland has already contractually committed to more movies.
It would seem that Holland is stuck in the MCU for at least for more years if not more. The actor has reportedly signed a contract for six more projects.
Apparently, there are more Spider-Man solo movies to come, with other films Holland committed to at the moment allegedly including Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. Both films are set for Phase 6 of the MCU slated for 2024-2026.
It's unclear just how Holland's web-slinger would return to join the Avengers team, given that No Way Home left him completely forgotten by everyone who had ever known him.
Moreover, among the projects Holland is reported to appear in is Daredevil: Born Again. Charlie Cox 's Matt Murdock and Holland's Peter Parker have already interacted in No Way Home, but it happened before everyone's memory has been wiped.
Fans' opinions about more Spider-Man sequels vary; while some people can't wait for Peter to try and get his life back, others actually want him to have a fresh start.
Back in 2019 Holland himself claimed that he'd happily sign up for another 20 Marvel movies, with fans, in turn, admitting that the actor's rapidly cementing himself as the face of the MCU now that Iron Man is gone. It seemed only logical at the time that his contract will extend to many more movies after Spider-Man 3, and now, three years later, turns out Holland fans were right.
Marvel has not yet officially confirmed any of Holland's alleged commitments, so it might be too early for both camps to get overly excited. However, various reports claim that the fourth installment of the Spider-Man franchise will arrive as soon as 2024.
