The trailers for The Boys spin-off suggest that graduates may join The Seven in the future, but Marie Moreau will never get an invitation.

The upcoming spin-off of The Boys TV series, Gen V, which just got a new R-rated trailer, makes it crystal clear that the biggest dream of all the students at Godolkin University is to eventually become members of The Seven.

Apparently, there is even a mural depicting the most famous superhero team in the world of the show on one of the ceilings of the university, as seen in the trailer.

However, some fans believe that the aspirations of the spin-off's main character, Marie Moreau, played by Jaz Sinclair, who apparently has the same desire, are absolutely futile no matter what, given the nature of her powers.

You see, Marie is a bloodbender, and considering how commercialized the most famous superheroes are, she will never be able to join them because of the age restrictions.

Homelander or Starlight are perfect material for merchandise, comics, and fit for movies, while the fact that Marie literally shoots her own blood left and right makes her not so family friendly.

Blood already has to be censored in movies and commercials by changing its color, and fans joke that Vought International's marketing department will never deem Marie worthy of joining The Seven unless she wears blue dye packs on her arms at all times.

After all, there are superheroes like Gecko, who never made it to the big league and has to work as a lab rat for Vought and as a S&M sex worker on the side.

The fact that his regenerative powers can look pretty nasty may have played a significant role in that.

With all that in mind, if we pretend that the university is actually just training supes instead of experimenting on them, as the trailer suggests, while Marie can become a moderately successful niche superhero, it is highly unlikely that she will ever be invited to join The Seven.

The first three episodes of Gen V will be released on September 29, 2023.

Do you agree that Vought would never take a PR risk and make an 'R-rated' supe a member of their biggest team?
