This Stranger Things Mystery Bugs All Fans: Who Is Eleven’s Real Dad? 

Eleven from Stranger Things kept us guessing for quite a while. Across the awesome four seasons, we've learned a lot about her history. Yet, there's still one lingering mystery: Who is Eleven's real dad?

The Suspicious Minds book might have given the answer. The novel introduces a character named Andrew Rich. Andrew Rich is portrayed as Eleven’s biological father and Terry Ives' boyfriend.

Andrew quickly developed a strong bond with Terry. However, they never discussed their future or the possibility of marriage. Tragically, Andrew was sent to Vietnam, where he died in battle, never knowing about Terry’s pregnancy.

While Suspicious Minds, released in 2019, is considered an official novel, it is hard to say if it is canon to the show.

The Duffer brothers didn’t supervise the creation of this book. So basically, the author of the book was allowed to create her own version of Eleven’s father, which might be suggesting that there were never plans to introduce her father in the series.

One theory that has been floating around is whether Dr. Martin Brenner, the scientist from Hawkins Lab, referred to as Papa by his test subjects, could be Eleven’s father. This theory is fueled by Brenner's paternalistic demeanor towards Eleven, but there is no concrete evidence in the show to support this.

Some fans have let their imaginations run wild. There are theories suggesting that Henry, also known as 001 or Vecna, could be Eleven’s father. This theory, though intriguing, is purely speculative and has not been even hinted at in the show.

At this point in Eleven’s journey, some fans argue that the identity of her biological father may not be significant. Eleven has grown and evolved as a character, finding a father figure in Hopper and making peace with her traumatic past.

She has let go of Brenner and embraced her new family, which includes her friends and Hopper.

Whether Eleven's dad is going to play a big role or not, we'll just have to wait until season 5 to really find out. The release date of the highly anticipated final season is currently unknown due to the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
